Upcoming Homebrew Mega Drive Adventure 'Tanglewood' Releases New Downloadable Demo

Tanglewood-Mega-Drive-Demo-ROMIf you've been keeping a close eye on the news lately, you may have caught a glimpse of an upcoming Mega Drive adventure making the rounds. Originally announced back in late 2015, this yet to be released homebrew title known as Tanglewood is slowly nearing its release. With plenty to update fans and backers of the project on, the development team has not only detailed some recent additions, but also released a fully playable gameplay demo in ROM format.

That's right, if you're eagerly anticipating this unofficial 16-bit release for the Sega Mega Drive then you'll be pleased to know that this playable demo can be enjoyed either through an emulator or on the original hardware using a flash cartridge. Offering access to one of the nine playable zone, a glimpse at some of the enemies within the world, and plenty of unique and interesting gameplay features - this is one release you need to experience.

Whilst the game is still yet to announce its official release date, those interested in securing the full game (either as a digital download, or a fully boxed Mega Drive cartridge release) you can still pre-order a copy through the Tanglewood's crowdfunding page at Megafounder.
