'Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie' Gets A New Trailer & Release Dates

Angry-Video-Game-Nerd-The-Movie-Release-Date-and-NEW-TrailerAlthough it only feels like yesterday that the Angry Video Game Nerd announced he'd be taking a break to make a movie, his full length feature film is just about ready for release. Rolfe has not only confirmed when gamers can expect his epic, but also released a new trailer packed to the brim with pixelicious comedy action.

Whether you love him or not, it's hard to deny that James Rolfe's decade-long character has had an impact on us all as retro gamers. Bringing prominence to countless bad titles and warning us of their woes, Rolfe's creations have birthed a career for himself in film - finally providing him with the perfect platform and audience to make his dream movie.

Looking at the trailer, the storyline places the Angry Video Game Nerd in a sticky situation to use his influential reach to help sell an awful new games. Somehow this puts the Nerd and many familiar faces on a hunt for the long lost buried Atari 2600 E.T. cartridges that were buried in the desert. Needless to say their quest is filled with countless references, laughs and action you'd expect to see in a 80s classic.

Opening cinema dates for the US have been published on Cinemassacre, along with the expected digital download release date of 2nd September.
