Unreleased Prototype PlayStation 1 Racer 'Jet Moto 2124' ISO Download Floats Online

Jet-Moto-2124-PlayStation-1-Prototype-Released-OnlineWhile the Nintendo 64 gamers were enjoying the ripping tide of the aquatic Wave Race, PlayStation owners instead were storming the shores with Jet Moto. Although the series spanned a mere three releases before fading into obscurity, a playable prototype of the fourth unreleased title in the series has just surfaced online.

This unfinished title known as Jet Moto 2124 was in development by Sony’s 989 Studios in San Diego some time around 1999 onwards. The developers decided to take the series down a futuristic route to capture Wipeout’s fanbase, with Jet Moto 2124 featuring tracks on the Moon, Mars and even Europa, alongside redesigned physics and an added speed boost. Furthermore the game was due to cash in with in-game advertising from Doritos, Slim Jim, and Body Glove.

Various concerns and issues eventually led to the game’s cancellation, but a good decade and a half later a treasure (in a bottle) has recently floated onto the Jet Moto fan site - JetMotoCentral. On here one generous user who appears to be in possession of the game’s prototype code has shared a plethora of screenshots and a downloadable PlayStation ISO of Jet Moto 2124.

Although the game seems to work on original hardware and PS1 emulators, it does, however, come with a selection of known bugs - such as the occasional glitchy checkpoint here and there. Nevertheless, another previously thought to be lost video game has emerged and made available for all to enjoy.
