May the year of unreleased prototypes surfacing online continue! Team Carrot who have delivered a large selection of Nintendo 64 ROMs to the retro gaming scene over the years have returned with the cancelled sequel to the unusual glove-wielding, ball-rolling, platform adventure; Glover.
Given the original Glover game struggled to make a mark on the overcrowded 3D platform genre, it comes as no surprise that Interactive Studio's Glover 2 fell into the void of countless cancelled games. The sequel was also planned for release on the Sony PlayStation and Sega Dreamcast in 2000, before fading away with little mention within magazines or the press at the time.
But not all was lost for fans of the white gloved hero. Ten years since the cancellation and the Glover 2, a rather large Nintendo 64 prototype cartridge surfaced on eBay containing the unfinished game. Die-hard Nintendo fan NESWorld managed to win the auction, before kindly preserving the cartridge for all to enjoy this week.
