Unreleased Sega Game Gear Version of Dr. Franken Preserved

Unreleased-Game-Gear-Version-of-Dr-Franken-PreservedSMSPower's continued effort towards preserving Sega's entire 8-bit library of software has yet again added another release to their impressive work. The latest addition is the unreleased Sega Game Gear version of Dr. Franken, a full colour version of the same name Nintendo Game Boy release.

According to the release statement on SMSPower, this demo version of Dr. Franken was intended to seek approval for the remaining development required on the game. Sadly for unknown reasons the retro game developer Motivetime's effort went a miss as the Game gear game was cancelled.

The ROM file of the Dr. Franken demo has been made available to download from SMSPower, however it comes with a few issues to note. The early demo sadly has no audio whatsoever and remains a rather short adventure. Nevertheless another piece of retro gaming history has been preserved for all to enjoy.
