Unreleased Famicom Disk System game Aliens now preserved

Unreleased-Nintendo-Famicom-Aliens-based-on-the-movieBased on the hit movie of the same name from 1986, Aliens was set to make an appreance on the Nintendo Famicom Disk System. Originally set for release in 1987, the game never made it to the shelves and remained missing... until now.

Hardcore collector Yuki has a reputation on the No-Intro forums for buying brand new and sealed Famicom Disk System games, only to open them in an attempt to preserve the data on the disks. To some, this a godsend as many previously undumped games have begun to surface from his fine efforts. While to others, the thought of opening a sealed game may begin to raise a few eyebrows and questions.

Either way, Yuki has brought us a ROM dump of the previously unreleased Aliens by Square, after recently managing to secure the final bid for the game on Yahoo Auctions JP. The game looks rather promising from a quick glance and definitely one for fans of the classic sci-fi film.
