Unofficial Mega Man 25th Anniversary Fan Game Celebrates The Blue Bomber's Iconic Nintendo NES Past

Unofficial-Mega-Man-25th-Anniversary-Fan-Game-Celebrates-The-Blue-Bomber-Iconic-Nintendo-NES-PastWith Mega Man first blasting onto the Nintendo Famicom on the 17th December 1987, he's all set to celebrate his 25th birthday in a matter of weeks. Despite being one of Capcom's most successful characters to date, fans have been left alone to unofficially arrange the blue bomber's party with an all new game paying homage to the classics.

Funnily enough Team Reaverbot behind the 8-bit styled fan game, Mega Man 25th Anniversary, consists of six influential individuals working in the games industry. Clearly talented developers and designers in touch with the material due for a celebration, Team Reaverbot have stayed true to the source material by creating a fan game that could almost be mistaken for a sequel - right down to the level design, graphics and audio.

From what has been shown so far, Mega Man 25th Anniversary brings to the table a few new gameplay elements. For example, players can now utilise both Protoman and Mega Man by switching their playable character between stages. All new bosses and their equipable weapons are set to make their debuts, as long as you have the skills to reach them.

The team are currently working hard to provide a demo version of their fan game in time for Mega Man's big day. Until then the team have released the game's soundtrack to get your Mega Buster charged up in anticipation for the big day.
