Ultimate Nintendo: Guide to the NES Library Book Hits Kickstarter

Ultimate-Nintendo-NES-Guide-on-KickstarterPat Contri (of Pat the NES Punk fame) has compiled a new all in one guide to the Nintendo Entertainment System. Featuring reviews of every single NES game made, the Ultimate Nintendo: Guide to the NES Library is a must have for all Ninty enthusiasts. Although the book is predominantly based on the 750+ NTSC library of games, there is also dedicated sections that cover PAL and HES exclusives.

Also included are looks at popular accessories, special and promo games. Every game has a written out of five stars review along with cart label artwork and screenshots - 450 pages of Nintendo goodness to lovingly pore over. But wait, there's more: there is also sections and dedicated pieces written by special guests including the foreword written by Blake Harris (author of Console Wars) and retro gaming cornerstone James Rolfe (Angry Videogame Nerd).

The book smashed its $16,500 Kickstarter goal ($144,676) which clearly shows our burning passion for the hobby. Originally slated for North America, shipping has now also been established for the rest of the world. Ultimate Nintendo is definitely a book to look out for if you are a serious Nintendo collector or an avid retro gamer. A digital copy version will also be available upon release but there is something about a hardback book that always adds to the nostalgia!

UPDATE 03/16 - The PDF version of the book (v1.1) is now available to Kickstarter backers.

Note to forum goers - Pre orders for the book are currently full on this site - if you message Pat directly on his twitter you can arrange a private sale with him - also slacker backer pledges on Kickstarter were also still available.

Jim is a self confessed know it all when it comes to 16-bit gaming. With a strange fondness of playing rubbish videogames for the fun of it, there is no stoop too low he won't go to for entertainment.
