You've read about it, but have you seen it in action? Krikzz, the ever prevalent flash cartridge manufacturer, has created and uploaded to YouTube a sneak peek video giving us a closer look at the upcoming Turbografx 16 and PC Engine flash cartridge, the Turbo Everdrive.
Similar to the existing range of Everdrive cartridges we've all grown accustomed to, the Turbo Everdrive comes with a built in menu system to navigate the countless game ROMs you've loaded onto your SD card. From what we can tell too, games seem to load up within a matter of seconds sending you straight into the action of all your favourite titles on NEC's system.
The video goes on to show the PC Engine's largest game, Street Fighter II Championship Edition (Often referred to as the most accurate port of the classic arcade fighter) which weighs in at a massive 20-Megabits, running flawlessly as if it was the original cartridge in place. To sweeten the deal further, Krikzz has also placed onto the cartridge an on board reset button, something the Turbografx 16 and PC Engine consoles lack, allowing you to switch games much more easily.
All we need now is a release date!
