Earlier today Codemasters launched a new website titled Eggciting News, teasing retro gamers about a certain iconic hero who could be rolling back into the gaming world. The Oliver Twin's timeless home computer Dizzy series is set for a reboot of some sort, leaving much to speculation.
Given how little has been said about this upcoming release by Codemasters, we live in hope that the British development studio have learnt a lot from the last decade thanks to Sega and their awkward adolescent days of Sonic The Hedgehog.
Not only was a teaser site launched today giving a lot of hope and promise to gamers of the eighties and nineties, but also a promotional video featuring one lucky employee diving into the Codemaster's vault for those dusty discarded floppy disks. This video features a brief glimpse of The Prince of the Yolkfolk, one Dizzy game we would gladly welcome a HD remake of.
Who knows what will follow from this little teaser, however Codemasters should note that they currently have the entire retro gaming community on the edge of their seats biting their nails. Do us proud!
