Three previously unpreserved Sega Game Gear games now online

3-New-Undumped-Sega-Game-Gear-ROMsSMSPower is well known for the preservation of the Sega Master System and 8-bit Sega Computers, so it should come as no surprise that they have preserved and released online three more undumped Sega Game Gear games.

Their latest news post details the new arrivals on their website along with one more treat for much older Sega fans.

First up is a Sample version of Sonic & Tails, the Japanese version of Sonic Chaos. The ROM dump came from a white label review cartridge often used to demonstrate games in shops/outlets. SMSPower have stated that the dump is definitely different to the retail version, however the differences are currently unknown.

Next up is the Japanese version of T2: The Arcade Game by Acclaim. The game has remained undumped  for quite sometime and enthusiasts will be pleased to know that is indeed a different build to the standard PAL and NTSC releases. And finally from the bunch of Sega Game Gear releases is a slight variation of Nazo Puyo, featuring a different ROM header.

SMSPower have also begun preserving games for old Sega computers too. In this recent update, Space Armor for the SG-1000, a vertical shmup for the vintage computer has been preserved. According to SMSPower, Space Armor has been a top request by SG-1000 fans for quite some time.
