NeoFlash, the well known providers of retro gaming flash carts for the Sega Megadrive, PC Engine, Nintendo 64 and Super Nintendo are currently holding a retro coding competition.
Currently so far, the competition has had some rather interesting entries, such as Space Pixy, a Sega Megadrive game where you collect mushrooms from an evil Unicorn (yeah, that's right) and also Pokemon Ghost Black ReTold, a visual novel based on the cult story of the Pokemon hack.
But more interestingly, one coder by the name of Mic has created a VGM/VGZ music player for the Super Nintendo. This homebrew application comes with a Windows command line based converter, to make single Super Nintendo ROM containing one Sega Master System music file. But should you not want to create your own, Mic has provided a prebuilt ROM with 32 different VGMs included.
So what are you waiting for? Go make yourself a Super Nintendo VGM Jukebox!
