'The Story of the ZX Spectrum in Pixels' Book Hits Kickstarter

The-Story-of-the-ZX-Spectrum-in-Pixels-KickstarterFollowing on from the success of both The History of Ocean Software and The Story of U.S. Gold on Kickstarter, Chris Wilkins has already set his sights on documenting even more of our gaming past. The newly opened Kickstarter 'The Story of the ZX Spectrum in Pixels' is hoping to raise £15,000 through the crowdfunding platform over the next month.

This brand new book project is set to follow in the footsteps of Wilkins' previous creations, providing the ZX Spectrum with a fantastic immortalisation in paper. The Story of the ZX Spectrum in Pixels will feature countless pages documenting the greatest games to ever hit the home computer, accompanied by lucious screenshots, cassette inlays and advertisements where available.

Furthermore, several ZX Spectrum programmers, artists and musicians will be given the chance to talk about the platform in exclusive interviews. And if that wasn't enough already, Roger Kean and Oliver Frey of Crash Magazine fame will also be providing content for the project.

At the time of writing half of the required funds have already been raised for this project. Those hoping to join in on the fun will need to spend £10 to get a digital copy of the book, or £25 instead to secure a physical copy. Those willing to dig a little deeper will be able to enjoy various signed ZX Spectrum art prints amongst other exciting perks.
