The Story of the Oliver Twins Book Kickstarter Gets Off To A Rolling Start

The-Story-Of-The-Oliver-Twins-Kickstarter-BookAt some point within your gaming life you will have played at least one of the standout titles created by the Oliver Twins. The bedroom coding duo first started out with Super Robin Hood on the ZX Spectrum, shortly before cementing their name into the gaming world with the Dizzy series. Both Philip and Andrew still work in the gaming industry today, and the newly announced (and nearly funded) The Story of the Oliver Twins is set to tell their tale.

Launched on the same day a long lost Dizzy game for the Nintendo NES was released online, Fusion Retro Books set upon their funding target of £20,000. Having previously raised enough to produce books on the history of Ocean, US Gold and the ZX Spectrum, the publisher is all but ready to get going with the The Story of the Oliver Twins.

Teaming up with Roger Kean of Crash and Zzap! 64, Fusion Retro Book have been given access to countless documents, drawings, games and other materials from the Oliver Twins which will no doubt uncover plenty of unheard stories. The book of course will also document their colourful past and the many titles released under the various publishers they worked for.

With just a mere fraction of that target left to achieve, Kickstarter backers are set to not only receive the book in question, but other perks include the newly released Wonderland Dizzy Nintendo NES game on a physical cartridge - one of just 100 to ever be made.
