The Rarest and Most Expensive PAL Sega Game Gear game yet...

Tarzan-Lord-Of-The-Jungle-PAL-Sega-Game-GearDespite the Sega Game Gear being home to many fantastic 8 bit gems, its fan base is relatively small. However this doesn't count for much when it comes to the rarer titles. Having recently ended on eBay, what is debatably the rarest PAL Sega Game Gear game, just sold for a massive £269.77.

The game we're talking about is none other than the elusive Tarzan: Lord of the Jungle. Released in 1994 by publisher GameTek, the game saw an inevitably small print run due to the Game Gear slowly being muscled out by more powerful systems around. To add to its already obvious rarity, the game was only released in PAL territories, now attracting collectors worldwide.

Tarzan: Lord of the Jungle holds a rarity that can quite often put many other games to shame. So much so, the ROM floating around various ROM sites did not exist until the game was finally located and dumped just over two years ago. A rather long time for a game to be M.I.A.

As for the game, well, it sure shows it age for a 1994 release but still holds enough in it to keep the collectors curious. Should you feel the need to play this game on a budget however, you'll be pleased there is a Nintendo Gameboy version of Tarzan: Lord of the Jungle that can be had for much lower price.
