The Mojon Twins Announce New Homebrew Platformer ‘Mega Cheril Perils’ For Sega Mega Drive

Mojon-Twins-Announce-Mega-Cheril-PerilsIf you haven’t experienced one of The Mojon Twins’ homebrew releases as of yet, you’re missing out. The aftermarket developers have been creating high quality titles for a wide range of classic computers, with one of their more recent offerings soon to hit the Mega Drive. Their female-led platforming series Cheril The Goddess is being ported to the 16-bit Sega system under the new name Mega Cheril Perils.

While very little has been shown as of yet of the game in action, The Mojon Twins work has been on display at the recently held GamesCom event in Germany. To help showcase their efforts, a stunning poster of the game’s artwork has been on display, all whilst Spanish bloggers RetroManiac have revealed exclusive screenshots of the game in action.

In a similar style to its ZX Spectrum predecessor, Mega Cheril Perils will feature the much loved platforming action that pushed the vintage computer to its limits. Now sporting a detailed 16-bit palette and no doubt an updated soundtrack, the game will eventually be released through the Spanish retro gaming publisher 1985 Alternativo in the near future. Until then, stay tuned as we await further details on yet another must have release for the Sega Mega Drive.

I don't get it? Why is she fighting Zombies while running around in the buff? Seems like a rather elementary design choice.
