The Mojon Twins Release New Nintendo NES Homebrew Blast 'Jet Paco'

Jet-Paco-Released-For-Nintendo-NESAfter releasing countless stunning homebrew titles for various consoles and computers in 2014, it would appear that The Mojon Twins have decided to kick start 2015 in style. Taking one of their prior ZX Spectrum releases, the Spanish duo have revamped an old favourite into a brand new Nintendo NES game - Jet Paco.

Originally released for the ZX Spectrum as part of The Mojon Twins' Covertape #2 project, Jet Paco is a remake of Paco Jet featuring identical gameplay to the 2013 release, now accompanied by 8-bit visuals and a punchy chiptune soundtrack. Taking control of Paco Rebollez, you're tasked with finding and gathering energonia crystals, a rare and unusual material used to energise spacecrafts. To help with his journey, Paco is equipped with a state of the art jet pack which allows our homebrew hero to glide around the many rooms of an abandonded ship containing gems galore.

Although sounding simple, Jet Paco's gameplay is a clever combination of Super Meat Boy, Battle Kid, and Jet Pac. Offering a nice selection of troublesome stages to traverse from, this short adventure will no doubt provide Nintendo NES fans an all new adventure to enjoy via emulation or on the original hardware using a Everdrive-N8 flash cartridge. Jet Paco has been released for free online as a downloadable ROM file.
