#52GameChallenge 2015 Begins - Beat A Game A Week This Year

52GameChallengeAs game collectors, we’re often guilty of buying more titles than we actually play. From job lots to deals too good to be true, we’ve all amassed a backlog of classics to keep us busy for quite some time. These neglected titles, and all your favourites too, are about to get the play-time they deserve as your resolution this new year is to beat a game a week for the #52GameChallenge.

Originally started early last year, RetroCollect member Ninjabearhug rallied the masses on Twitter to take part in a on-going challenge which has since become a huge success. With countless gamers all around the world taking part in the #52GameChallenge, many of us were finally able to say we’d played most of the games we bought - well, near enough at least.

But playing them is only half the challenge. In order to take part in this competition, you’ll need to beat your games of choice and take photographic evidence of your success. Congratulations screens, credits rolling, or whatever else may follow your triumphant efforts, we want to see your winning results as you plough through your own selection of 52 (or more) games this year.

The challenge’s founder has set-up an on-going thread for the competition on the RetroCollect forums (including the rules), allowing those without a Twitter account to also take part in the fun. While there is a race to see who can beat the grand total of 52 games first, the challenge itself is more an attempt for us gamers to step away from eBay and play through our collections.

So whether or not you fancy beating a selection of time consuming adventures or hour long platformers, be sure to record your results in the #52GameChallenge.
