Team 17's Worms Unofficially Blasts Onto Commodore 64 In 'Grubz'

Worms-Heading-To-Commodore-64-In-GrubzEveryone loves the rocket-clad creepy crawlies and cape-wearing sheep, right? Well it would appear that a team of Commodore 64 developers are working hard on recreating Team 17's classic Worms for the vintage computer under the new title Grubz.

Although Worms was built for the more powerful Amiga and other systems of that era, this hasn't stopped The Singular Crew from digging down and working out how to port the title to dated hardware. Promising to work on stock C64 and C128 machines, Grubz will also include 4 player functionality and a computer opponent to tackle.

While few items of the Worms' arsenal have been implemented, Grubz is surely shaping up to be one of the greatest homebrew releases of 2015. Due to be released by Protovision, potentially on disc or tape once finished, those eager to sample this new title will be pleased to know a playable demo has been released for download.
