System 3 Announce Remake Of Super Nintendo's 'Putty Squad'

System-3-Announce-Remake-Of-Super-Nintendo-Putty-SquadHaving reached their 30th year in the video game publishing world, System 3 have decided to celebrate in style by ressurecting one of their classics. The Super Nintendo's very own Putty Squad is set for a revival on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U, Steam, Mac, Windows 8, iOS and Android, later this year.

Putty Squad was originally set to hit the Commodore Amiga following Putty's original success on the system. Unfortunately for owners of the home computer though, this quirky release was sadly canned before arriving on the Super Nintendo instead.

This new update of Putty Squad will feature everything we loved about the original, including the highly moldable protagonist who can stretch, become a sticky puddle, inflate, absorb enemies and much more. New visuals are set to make an appearance too, bringing the nearly 20 year old classic up to modern standards.

Putty Squad Press Release

Putty expands itself onto all major consoles, tablets, Mac and PC

After successfully being reworked and redesigned onto the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS, Putty Squad will be stretching, squishing and absorbing their way to a whole host of new platforms, including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U, Steam, Mac, Windows 8 and both iOS and Android.

Putty Squad is set to fulfil a 21 year wait for one of the most critically acclaimed platformers of the 16 bit era, but with a hefty update that pulls Putty kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

Some of the outstanding new features include, all new online leaderboards, time trial Challenge modes, a handy new tutorial mode, a collectable sticker book, downloadable free new levels every two weeks and much, much more.

Keep your eyes fixed on the horizon – because Putty Squad is returning with a bang later this summer.

This was a great game on the Amiga, SNES version not as good.

Remake looks great and a definite purchase.
