Synthetic Orchestra To Release Super Metroid Symphony Album

Synthetic-Orchestra-To-Release-Super-Metroid-Symphony-AlbumSuper Metroid, without a doubt, best utilised the Super Nintendo's soundchip to create a stunning and atmospheric score back in 1994. Nearly two decades on, the musical group Synthetic Orchestra is set to further immortalise this timeless soundtrack by creating a symphonic Super Metroid arrangement album, due for release this month.

If video game remixes are your thing, you've no doubt by now heard the many talented creations that have been populating the OverClocked Remix website over the last few years. Instead of using this vast resource to publish his work, Blake Robinson - the man behind Synthetic Orchestra - has created his own Metroid themed site to launch his latest piece of work.

Super Metroid Symphony is set to feature an hours worth of orchestrated arrangements from the iconic SNES release. Although not due for release (and free download) until the 19th March, Robinson has been sharing short samples and teasers of his upcoming work on Facebook and the album's website.
