From time to time we all wonder what certain games would have been like if they were released 10 years earlier. One gamer has now taken this idea and applied it to an all time favourite, Super Smash Bros by bringing us his playable 8-bit demake; Super Smash Land.
Dan Fornace took Super Smash Bros and a limited his graphical palette to put the Nintendo 64 game into what could have been a hit Nintendo Game Boy game back in the day. Currently featuring Mario and Kirby as playable characters, Dan hopes to include Link (from the Zelda series) and Pikachu (from the Pokemon series) along with another planned selection of stages and a secret character.
His latest demo was created using YoYo Games Game Maker and a demo for the PC can be downloaded from his website for free.
