Super Nintendo Homebrew 'Classic Kong' Now Available On Cart

Classic-Kong-SNES-Homebrew-Now-On-CartridgeBack in August 2012, homebrew developers Bubble Zap Games released their own detailed adaptation of the coin-op hit Donkey Kong for the Super Nintendo. A ROM of Classic Kong was released online for free, however, it's only now that the homebrew hit has been made available in cartridge form for those who prefer more the authentic SNES experience.

Similar to other recent Super Nintendo homebrew titles (such as the Super 4-in-1), Piko Interactive have picked up the rights to distribute the game on Super Nintendo compatible cartridges. Classic Kong as it's known is a faithful recreation of Nintendo's timeless arcade game, presenting the 1981 coin-op machine with enhanced visuals and audio.

Needless to say fans of Nintendo's early arcade output should definitely pick this one up. Classic Kong is limited to just 100 copies costing $30 each. The completists amongst us have the option of requesting an accompanying box and manual too for the additional cost of $25.
