Super Nintendo, Game Boy Advance & Mega Drive Emulation Comes To PS Vita FW 3.60 With HENkaku

PS-Vita-HENkaku-Running-Retro-Gaming-EmulatorsFor many retro gamers the Sony PlayStation Portable doubles up as a great emulation system, and it looks like its successor is set to follow in its footsteps. Just days ago an all new homebrew enabler known as HENkaku was released for the PS Vita which allows several different emulators to be run on firmware 3.60.

Homebrew and emulation on the PS Vita isn’t exactly new, however, prior to this release from developer Yifan Lu those wanting to get the most out of the handheld had to go through various tricky tutorials. HENkaku on the other hand is an incredibly simple ‘hack’ that can be installed by simply visiting the HENkaku website and clicking the install button. Once done you’ll be able to install new bubbles on the home screen, including GenesisPlusVita, SNES9xVita, Vita Doom, and mGBA, along with a selection of other emulators too.

Full instructions on how to get the most out of your PS Vita can be found on the HENkaku website. As usual though, take care when tinkering around with your system!
