Super Hexagon Unofficially Ported To Vectrex In 'Hex'

Hex-on-VectrexIf for whatever reason you haven’t checked out Terry Cavanagh’s insanely difficult retro-themed mobile game Super Hexagon, we recommend you either head to your nearest App Store, or alternatively a Vectrex. One homebrew developer has adapted the challenging pocket fun to the vector based system.

Interestingly enough this isn’t the first time Cavanagh’s work has been de-made. Not only did Super Hexagon make an unofficial transition to the Commodore 64, but also his previous pixel-perfect title VVVVVV made an appearance on the home computer.

This all new unofficial adaptation of Super Hexagon to the Vectrex - known as Hex - is rather limited in comparison to its source material, as most of the incoming patterns you must dodge rarely varies from the one before. Nevertheless Hex is still very much in development and is look to be an addictive challenge on the 1982 console - one which can now be downloaded and enjoyed in emulators or on the original hardware using a VecFlash.
