Super Famicom RPG 'Shin Megami Tensei' Summoned Onto iOS

Shin-Megami-Tensei-Heading-To-iOSOriginally released back in 1992, Shin Megami Tensei quickly became a fan favourite on the Super Famicom - however, the series which soon went on to the likes of the PC Engine, Mega CD and PlayStation never officially left Japan. As of the 18th of March though, you'll finally be able to get stuck into Atlus' classic RPG on iOS platforms.

This critically acclaimed traditional RPG sees you taking control of a demon-wielding hero, one who fights alongside these summoned beings. Following an upset in the balance of power after an outbreak from the nether-realm, it's up to you to either create a kingdom of absolute order, side with these other-worldly beings, or instead choose neither route and fight all that oppose you.

These multiple paths on offer within the 1992 RPG were a forward thinking feature hardly seen in the genre before, and very much ones which affect which ending your playthrough would result in. Although this English localisation is the first time we'll officially be able to play this SNES adventure, there is already a fan translation patch available for those who would prefer to enjoy the original.

Atlus has announced that the game will be available to download from the 18th March onwards for $7.99.
