SupaBoy - Portable Super Nintendo Handheld Coming Soon

SupaBoy-Portable-Super-Nintendo-Handheld-Coming-SoonHyperkin, makers of the RetroN 3 SNES, Mega Drive and NES clone system are back with an upcoming portable Super Nintendo. The SupaBoy is to replace their FC-16 Portable SNES, with what is believed to be a huge list of built in features.

Hyperkin have been supplying a range of updated retro consoles similar to Blaze's Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Handheld, for quite some time. Their FC Twin System offering both a fully functional Nintendo NES and Super Nintendo in one console has proved hugely popular in North America.

Despite already having a handheld Super Nintendo (known as the FC-16 Portable) on offer for quite some time, it's bulky size, poor battery life and low resolution LCD screen have been screaming out for a remake.

With the unconfirmed release date of Summer 2011, the SupaBoy is shaping up to be quite the feature heavy handheld according to an interview with one of Hyperkin's employees. The handheld has been said to include TV out functionality, 2 external controller Ports, a rechargeable battery pack and even compatibility with the Super Scope, Mouse and Multitaps. Currently no price tag has been set as of yet for this portable Super Nintendo.

So start saving up now ready for some Super Mario World, F-Zero, Donkey Kong Country and Secret of Mana portable action.

That cart will have to be snug as moving it will crash the game. I wonder if it will suffer that problem.
