Next week the complete collections of both Golden Axe and Streets of Rage are due to arrive on the Xbox 360. Given that obtaining the original Sega Mega Drive releases of each trilogy would set you back a fair bit, you'll be pleased to hear that these digital releases will be made available at a pocket price.
Sega's latest announcement not only mentioned the digital re-release of these classics, but also a in-game music jukebox to enjoy the wealth of tunes from Tohru Nakabayashi and Yuzo Koshiro. Each trilogy will be packaged up in a glossy interface, showcasing each game on display as if it was being played on the original hardware.
At just 800 Microsoft Points per collection, those who have been gazing over the intimidating price of Streets of Rage 3 on eBay and the elusive Japanese only release of Golden Axe III will be pleased they held back on any impulse spending.

It'll be interesting to see if you can play the Japanese versions of the games on that SOR pack, as SOR3 is much better when it's Bare Knuckle III- the adjustments made to the difficulty settings make SOR3 much harder to get into.
Gotta say, they missed a trick with that Golden Axe pack- where's Revenge of Death Adder :(
Also, the Monster World and Alex Kidd & Co. packs are getting released next week. Get hype for Monster World IV!
