Star Odyssey: New Sega Megadrive game coming in 2011

Star-Odyssey-New-Sega-Megadrive-GameSuper Fighter Team has secured the rights to another untranslated Sega Megadrive game known as Blue Almanac in Japan. The game will be getting an English localisation and reproduction in early 2011 under the new name; Star Odyssey.

Like the rest of the team's releases, it will come complete with a high quality box, manual and cartridge label. Perfect for the collectors. But before you jump ahead looking for a link to pre-order the game, Super Fighter Team has stated that pre-orders are not being taken and the game will become available to buy upon release instead.

The original game, Blue Almanac is a typical futuristic RPG following in similar footsteps to the much loved Phantasy Star series. It was released in 1991 by publisher Kodansha and developed by Hot-B, who are better know for their fantastic horizontal Sega Megadrive shmup, Steel Empire. Starfish-SB who now own the rights to Hot-B's Japanese releases, teamed up with Super Fighter Team to re-release the game with a full English translation.

We're very much looking forward to the release of Star Odyssey and more information will be published as soon as we hear it. So until 2011, get saving in preparation or consider buying Super Fighter Team's other releases; Legend of Wukong or Beggar Prince.
