SquareEnix Brings PlayStation 2 RPG 'Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King' To Apple iOS Devices

SquareEnix-Brings-PlayStation-2-RPG-Dragon-Quest-VIII-Journey-of-the-Cursed-King-To-Apple-iOS-DevicesSeeing so many of our classic gaming favourites arrive on modern devices at pocket prices is something none of us can complain about. Square Enix, who are undoubtedly the most active in the touchscreen re-releases realm have just gifted the massive PlayStation 2 adventure, Dragon Quest VIII, a new breath of life on Apple iOS devices.

Although it is yet to be released officially, posts online have noted that it has already made an appearance on New Zealand's Apple App Store. This interesting arrival brings along a selection of screenshots showcasing how the game has been adapted to modern hardware, along with a full summary and description of what gamers can expect from this re-release.

If you're yet to experience Dragon Quest VIII, this may be the nudge you've been needing since its release in 2004. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King offers a huge 80+ hour adventure, stunning visuals (by PlayStation 2 standards) lovingly sculpted by Akira Toriyama, along with an engaging storyline you need to experience.

Needless to say, should this modern port hold up to the name, this is one game you need on your iPhone or iPad. That said, with a pricetag of $24.99, you may be better off investing in the much cheaper and readily available PlayStation 2 original.
