Square Enix's Secret Of Mana iOS Port Heading To Android

Secret-Of-Mana-Android-Port-Coming-SoonWhile they may not be the cheapest apps around, it's always a pleasure seeing Square Enix dipping into their back catalogue and porting classics to modern devices. Successful series such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest can easily be enjoyed once again on the go, along with the likes of the Super Nintendo adventure Secret of Mana - the latter of which seems set for its debut on Android soon.

Although touchscreen controls are far from ideal to be tackling the once gamepad-only quest, the arrival of Secret of Mana on Android will once again open up the 1993 title. Given we have the likes of the Ouya (an Android based game console), Android gaming handhelds such as the JXD range, and even Nintendo NES inspired bluetooth gamepads, there never really has been a better time for rekindling ourselves with childhood favourites.

The Android port of Secret of Mana is yet to be dated, however, it is expected to be released sometime this Autumn. In the meantime, iOS owners can enjoy a quick discount on the 16-bit classic with it's low price of £2.49 until the 10th August.

This was one of my favourite SNES games, along with Super Metroid. I have it on IOS and its really difficult to play in my opinion. Its just one of those things you need a real controller for i think.
