Square Enix Rerelease ‘Final Fantasy VII’ On Apple App Store For iOS

Final-Fantasy-VII-iOS-Port-Out-NowSquare Enix have been anything but shy in re-releasing their back catalogue for modern devices. From the likes of Chrono Trigger to Final Fantasy Tactics, many of our favourites adventures of yesteryear can now be kept in our pocket. The latest addition to their digital library is the PlayStation 1 epic Final Fantasy VII, now available for Apple iOS devices.

This brand new re-release arrives as a 1.63gb download for iOS 8 and above operating systems on either the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. Based on the PC version, this iOS port features slightly improved visuals to the PlayStation 1 version, but instead finds the many different buttons to control the game laid on top of the action. Everything we know and love about the RPG appears to have remained intact, including the jaw-dropping introduction sequence to kickstart the story.

Those interested in taking on Sephiroth once more should note that the standard Square Enix approach to pricing mobile apps is present here. Costing a fairly hefty £11.99, it’s not the cheapest of downloads, but remains a cut below the going rate for the PlayStation 1 original.

i been playing this on ipad, its working pretty crisp, movement seems faster and i did loose 10 mins gameplay due to a crash but enjoying it again so far. Also the cloud feature is pretty good for swapping your save between devices.
