Oh yes, you read that right! SNK are making a shock return with a device set to dominate the retro gaming world. The newly announced handheld device going under the placeholder name ‘Neo Geo Portable Device’ will come pre-loaded with plenty of Neo Geo hits.
The device is currently documented as having a 4.3” LCD screen, AV Out functionality, built in 2GB memory and SD Card slot for expansion. Photography (or mock-up imagery) suggests too that the famous Neo Geo clicky-stick is making a comeback on the control pad, alongside all the buttons you’ll need to take control of your favourites.
As of speaking 20 games have been confirmed to be bundled with the device upon launch, hosting an array of arcade gaming hits:
World Heroes, Ultimate 11, Top Player's Golf, Sengoku, Nam-1975, Mutation Nation, Last Resort, King of Monsters, Frenzy, Cyber-Lip, Fatal Furty Special, The Art of Fighting, Super Sidekicks, League Bowling, Metal Slug, Magical Lord, Baseball Stars Professional, Samurai Shodown, The King of Fighters '94, and Fatal Fury
Although nothing has been said yet regarding ‘downloadable titles’ or an ‘SNK Store’, our hopes are high that the device will allow many more games from the Neo Geo catalogue (including the Neo Geo Pocket) to be downloaded onto the SD Card.

Which is a shame because one of the listed built-in games is Mutation Nation- not a great game by any stretch of the imagination, but it's got this weird splatter flick-esque vibe to it that really appeals to me, and this would be the first 'port' of it since it came out. Not sure whether to believe it or not.
Unfortunately closer inspection of the picture seems to reveal a very well photoshopped iphone 4, I hope im wrong, as I would love one myself.
the xperia play is tried, tested and readily available. Seriously, just get one of those. you can then also use it for ps1, md, snes, speccy, amiga, beeb, cps2, gg, nes, gb (gbc, gba) as well.
