With the likes of Xbox Live and PlayStation Network offering gamers the perfect solution to online action, what equivalent do 16-bit fanatics have? SNESoIP is the closet offering, a build-it-yourself adapter to connect your distant friends to your Super Nintendo over the internet.
This all new accessory connects into both controller ports of your Super Nintendo whilst providing a new port for player one on the front. SNESoIP (or Super Nintendo Over IP if you'd prefer) then sends each and every one of your button presses over the internet to player two, and in return his input is then sent back to your console.
Although SNESoIP is still very much in development, this open-source project has already reached a fully functional stage and all the parts needed to make one have been listed online. All you need now are equally technical friends who also happen to have a Super Nintendo!
