Sneak Peek At This Month's Upcoming Retro Gamer Magazine #110

sneak-peek-at-this-months-upcoming-retro-gamer-magazine-110Very much aware that the entire nation will be in a Nintendo frenzy right now following the launch of the Wii U, Retro Gamer Magazine prepares to revisit your fuzzy memories of Nintendo legends. If you've finished reading last month's issue already, you're in luck as this festive 110th issue of Retro Gamer is due to hit the shops next week

If you're not quite the Nintendo fan-boy though, you'll be pleased to see the magazine's cover this month promises articles on Sensible World of Soccer, the recognised although defunct British developer Bullfrog, and even Jeff Minter himself. The reverse of the cover, however, pays tribute to the late Mike Singleton (Developer behind the ZX Spectrum game Lords of Midnight) who sadly passed away back in October.

The eulogy of Mike Singleton continues within the magazine, devoting many pages to interviews with those who worked with him alongside a look back at the countless games he produced.

Shortly after Retro Gamer's sending off of a retro gaming hero, the magazine takes a closer look at Sensible World of Soccer by speaking to Jon Hare - who also happens to reveal several easy goal scoring techniques you shouldn't really know. The main article focusing on Nintendo Legends sees the magazine chronologically discussing all of the timeless Nintendo characters - from Octopus on the Game & Watch in 1981, all the way to the more recent addition of Pikmin.

Following on from the bulk of the issue, Retro Gamer Magazine also speaks to various video game musicians, discusses the iconic World of Illusion on the Sega Mega Drive, the history behind Bullfrog and looks closesly at Baldur's Gate too.
