Sneak Peek At This Month's Upcoming Retro Gamer Magazine #109

Sneak-Peek-At-This-Months-Upcoming-Retro-Gamer-Magazine-109After devoting a large portion of last month's issue to the death of Psygnosis, the latest issue of Retro Gamer Magazine returns to more cheerful features, starting with a closer look at the ZX Spectrum connoisseurs (and future Nintendo 64 gods) Ultimate Play The Game for their 30th birthday.

The opening pages of issue #109 are dedicated to detailed reports of the recent Play Expo event which took place in Manchester last month, alongside an obituary to the late ZX Spectrum developer Mike Singleton. Not much further into the magazine is the 30 year celebration of Ultimate Play The Game, showcasing just about every game released under their name - from 1983 with Jetpac to 1987 with Bubbler.

Those with a keen eye who prefer the more recent offerings Retro Gamer Magazine brings will have already spotted Kirby squatting in the top corner of the magazine's cover. The cutesy pink inhaler has recently celebrated his 20th birthday, giving Retro Gamer the perfect chance to revisit his colourful past.

Tetris also gets a healthy spread in the latest issue, with the publication looking into what Alexey Pajitnov, the Russian mastermind behind the puzzle game, did after his iconic and timeless release.

Elsewhere in the magazine you can expect to see features on Point Blank, Cascade Games, Mirror's Edge, Contra, Jack Tramiel, Mode 7, Half Life
