Sneak Peek At Kenji Inafune's Spiritual Successor To Mega Man, Mighty No. 9

Mighty-No-9-Gameplay-Video-JulyAlmost a year ago the father of Mega Man, Kenji Inafune, launched a Kickstarter to help create Mighty No. 9 - the spiritual successor to Capcom's neglected blue bomber. Fast forward today and the first few clips of what countless gamers funded can be seen in all it's retro-flavoured glory.

The Mega Man series is very much a sore-point for us today. Having turned so many of us into the hardcore gamers we are today - thanks to the infuriating password systems, tricky bosses, and stunning weapon system - it's almost depressing seeing one of Capcom's flagship characters rust away. Inafune, however, has the answer for us and it's fast approaching.

Mighty No. 9 was overly funded with $3,845,170 pledged instead of the $900k target, and from what we can see the money has been well invested. This all new sneak peek of the action in Mighty No. 9 is exactly what gamers have been crying out for - stunning visuals mixed with retro gameplay.

While the game isn't expected to be released until April 2015, there's still more than enough time to watch this clip on repeat until it arrives.
