Sivak-Games-Nintendo-NES-Homebrew-Battle-Kid-2-Mountain-of-Torment-Due-For-Release-TodayThe highly anticipated follow up to Sivak Games' Nintendo NES Homebrew hit, Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril, is finally here. After months of of hard work, planning and preparation, Sivak has showcased a photograph of the Battle Kid 2: Mountain of Torment cartridge and contents, along with details of its imminent release.

If for whatever reason you didn't get round to playing the first title in the homebrew series, we very much recommend you read our review and invest in a copy. The 2010 Nintendo NES release offers everything you'd expect from a commercial 8-bit title, along with just as much challenge as I Wanna Be The Guy.

Announced back in September of 2010, the all important follow up titled Battle Kid 2: Mountain of Torment has been teasing gamers since with several mouthwatering gameplay videos uploaded to YouTube. Yesterday, however, Sivak delivered the all important news that the finished product was now in the hands of it's distributor - RetroZone.

Further adding to this exciting news was Sivak's suggestion that the game would be available to buy from RetroZone's online store as of Friday 14th December, today. Two different options would be made available to retro gamers, a cartridge and manual for $36 and a complete boxed copy featuring a concept art book for $45.
