Sega To Release 3D Streets Of Rage On Nintendo 3DS This Month

3D-Streets-Of-RageAs much as we're excited to announce that Sega are due to release a 3D version of their all time classic side scroller, Streets of Rage, it's yet another title in their range of updated remakes which are yet to step outside of Japan. Nevertheless this updated port of the 1991 Mega Drive release is something we're eager to get our hands on.

Earlier today Siliconera reported that Sega would be releasing 3D Streets of Rage onto the Nintendo 3DS on August 21st for 600 yen. This updated is not only due to introduce an added level of depth, but also an all new mode known as One Hit Deathblow Mode. This alternative mode of play bizarrely allows the player to knockout any incoming thugs with a single punch instead of a series of precise blows.

Given Japan has been spoilt with all these updated 3D versions of Sega's back catalogue, it's gotten to the point where we're really beginning to wonder when we'll see English localisations of these titles.
