9 years since his last outing, Shinobi is set to return on the Nintendo 3DS shortly. Paying respect to the classic titles within the series, the upcoming release features everybody's favourite 2D scrolling ninja action.
With the power of the Nintendo 3DS at Sega's disposal, we were more than expecting another 3D game looking to offer graphic depth and little gameplay. However the debut trailer for Shinboi promises so much with it's vast selection of 2.5D scenes, offering more than enough to keep any retro gamer happy.
“Shinobi tells the story of Jiro Musashi, the leader of the Oboro clan and father of Joe Musashi, the hero of the first iterations of Shinobi. Players will become a true ninja legend by mastering a brand new combo system switching between melee, ranged and acrobatic attacks. They will also need to rely on Jiro’s ninja magic to get an advantage over their enemies and get out of tight spots.”
