Second batch of Pier Solar re-prints now taking pre-orders

Pier-Solar-Packaging-and-ContentsFor those who missed out on either the first run of Pier Solar or even the reprint edition, will be pleased to hear Watermelon Team have re-opened pre-orders for their fantastic Sega Mega Drive homebrew RPG.

Some of you may have recently noticed the original pressing of Pier Solar arriving on eBay occasionally, leaving with a jaw dropping winning bid. The ending price of £210 from the most Pier Solar recent auction left many speechless, making this re-print a real must have for those who previously missed out.

The latest news of  the re-print pre-orders comes courtesy of our very own RetroCollect forum member gunstarhero. Having caught wind of the news, it was posted up in our growing retro gaming community forum we all encourage you to participate in.

If you're still unsure on whether or not to purchase the game, RetroCollect put together a comprehensive review of the homebrew RPG after spending an afternoon with the game. Our Pier Solar review also takes a look into the packaging for those interested in adding the game to their collections. While the re-print edition may offer different artwork, the packaging overall must be admired.

It's just a shame that the reprint is no-where near as fancy as the original edition of the game, featuring only the cart, a black & white print of the manual and the sticker sheet in a standard plastic Mega Drive box.

You miss out on the fancy packaging, the full colour manual, the country-specific branding and the enhanced soundtrack CD for Mega-CD. :(
