Scott Pilgrim's Retrotastic Scrolling Beat-Em-Up E3 Trailer

ScottPilgrimVsTheWorldScreenshotE3 is over now and amongst the impressive new tech was an impressive stand out title, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. It's about time a modern Streets of Rage style game arrived and oh my, this is it!

Putting Scott Pilgrim Vs The World in the Modern Gaming category almost feels wrong. Bryan Lee O'Malley's comic books which the game (and upcoming movie) is based upon is features a huge hommage to video games. Within the story lies many video game references, many of which have been carefully translated into the upcoming film to keep gamers smiling.

Looking at the released trailer, Scott Pilgrim is shaping up to be the most anticipated 'retro-modern' game released this year. The crisp visuals, pixel perfect approach, simple gameplay and chiptune soundtrack are keeping us on our toes and wanting more.

Scott Pilgrim's release date is set for the 10th of August 2010, most likely well timed to fit in with the movie
