Roll Chan Evolution Nintendo NES ROM Hacks Introduce Roll As Playable Character in Mega Man Series

Roll-Chan-Evolution-ROM-HackMega Man may be the greatest blue bomber to have ever lived, but his sister can pack an equally as powerful punch - something an all new Nintendo NES ROM hack project is set to show you. Starting with the first title in the series, Roll Chan Evolution reworks the 1987 classic to feature Mega Man's sibling as a playable character, allowing you to tackle Dr Wily's evil exports in an all new challenge.

While this ROM hack project may be nothing more than a changing of Mega Man's sprite to feature Roll instead, nothing quite beats having another excuse to tackle Capcom's difficult 8-bit titles yet again. The individual behind this simple but stunning modification recently released a ROM patch for the first Mega Man game, shortly before uploading a teaser video of Roll Chan 2 in action.

As usual, to enjoy this ROM hack you will need to have an original Mega Man Nintendo NES ROM file to which you can apply this patch to. Full instructions on how to patch this ROM can be found within the download, or you can refer to this handy ROM patching guide on YouTube.
