Last week, RetroZone brought us Vs Super Mario Bros, an arcade cartridge built for the Nintendo Versus System. An extremely tough version of Super Mario Bros, perfect for arcade gamers needing a good challenge. Vs Duck Hunt, RetroZone's newly added cartridge is also a Nintendo Versus System game, with a few added features compared to the retail version of Duck Hunt.
Most gamers will be pleased to hear they can finally shoot the pesky dog in Duck Hunt, that has sniggered at gamers for 26 years, since Duck Hunt's release in 1984 (In Japan). The dog takes part in the bonus game and shows no fear of your gun by jumping into the line of fire.
Alongside the release of Vs Duck Hunt is 8-Bit Xmas 2010. For the last 2 years, RetroZone has put together a festive greeting and homebrew game combined into a Christmas cartridge; 8-Bit Xmas. When ordering, RetroZone allows you to submit two lines of your own text, to create your own personalised in game Xmas card. The cartridge also features a Santa-Present-Delivering game and a large amount of blinking LEDs along the side of the cartridge, enough to rival a Christmas tree:
8-Bit Xmas should only appeal to the die hard collectors wanting to get their hands on every last piece of Nintendo NES software available. However those wanting a much deeper customised Xmas card for the Retro Gamer they know, need not look any further.
