Retro Gamer Magazine Celebrates In Style With Issue #100 Out Now

Retro-Gamer-Magazine-Celebrates-In-Style-With-Issue-100-Out-NowIf Sonic's 20th anniversary or Mario's 25th birthday didn't already make you feel old, Retro Gamer magazine is about to remedy that. The publication which started way back in 2004 has just released its 100th issue, bringing along a rather snazzy supplement to this month's release.

Inside the 'Now Loading' themed bag containing issue 100 is also a reprint of the very first issue which originally landed in January 2004. Whilst it doesn't include the cover-disk which was present on the front of the first issue, all the content from 8 years ago is still present for those who missed out on this early release.

But enough about the reprint issue, what is in this month's Retro Gamer magazine?

My copy arrived in the post today. The disappointment of the reissue of #1 as the special bonus (I got the original issue when it first came out, so its not really any bonus for me personally, but I can appreciate why they have done this) was offset by the fantastic feature on Ralph Baer's Odyssey in the main issue. Looking forward to reading through the rest of the mag over the next couple of weeks.

In my view its a great centenary issue, Ralph Baer's interview for me is the big highlight but also the in depth interviews with David Crane and Andrew Braybrook and Yuji Naka are great. The hardware writre-up is fitting too as they are marking the Spectrum's 30th birthday next month.

All in all a great read, heres to the next 100 :-)

Awesome issue, great articles too. (I bet they got the inspiration for the David Crane feature from us tho...)
