Those familiar with the title 'Holy Invasion Of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This?' should be fully aware that it's a hidden gem. Despite it being a download only game in America, Europeans were lucky to get a physical copy of the first and now, the second game.
And for those not familiar with the Sony PSP game, here is a rather quick summary.
The game is as bizarre as the name suggests. Time after time, the monsters of various RPGs are slaughtered and the bosses of dungeons are wiped out, at least until now. The What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord series reverses the roles and puts you in command of the dungeon. It's your job to keep the Demon Lord safe from any hero's 'visiting' the dungeon, while managing a complete eco-system of slime, bugs and lizards.
While written down the game sounds simple enough, it's actually one of the most challenging games the Sony Playstation Portable has seen to date. If by accident you create too many slimes, the bug and lizard population will begin to struggle. And if you're lacking on bugs and lizards, those deadly heroes are likely to get hold of your Demon Lord.
The game has now dropped the first half of the name 'Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!' due to prevent potential confusion with 'Batman'
What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord!? is without a doubt worth a purchase. As it could be considered a niche game, the price is already rather low for both the original and the newly released sequel. Once again, a physical release skipped America, making the European version the only English language versions to physically exist. And it should be noted that the print run for these two titles is rather small, future rarity hunters should take note.
