Love the Dreamcast as much as we do? Well you're in for a treat! The guys over at NG:DEV.TEAM have kickstarted their latest scrolling shooter project, Redux: Dark Matters, due for release on Sega's console in December 2012. Featuring legendary video game composer, Chris Huelsbeck of Turrican fame, this is one shmup you don't want to miss.
The game is currently being developed by René Hellwig from NG:DEV.TEAM, who is the mastermind behind prior and upcoming homebrew Sega Dreamcast releases GunLord, Fast Striker, Last Hope and DUX. Those who previously picked up DUX will feel right at home with this shooter, not only due to it being a sequel, but due to the fact that DUX 1.5 (a refined and polished version of the original DUX) will be included with the Limited Edition version of the game.
Whilst both iOS and Dreamcast versions have been confirmed, the team behind the project have much bigger plans. To achieve their goal, they're offering an exclusive pre-order of the game via a kickstarter project, in hope that they can raise enough funds to acquire development kits to port the game over to PSN, XBLA and Steam next year.
