Redspotgames announce Sturmwind - a new Sega Dreamcast Shmup

Sturmwind-New-Sega-Dreamcast-Indie-GameRedspotgames who brought us Rush Rush Rally and the fantastic Wind & Water Puzzle Battles for the Sega Dreamcast have announced another game to their homebrew line up; Sturmwind, a new Shmup for the eleven year old classic console.

Sturmwind was recently announced on the Redspotgames website offering a pre-order slot for those interested in the game. Set to arrive in Spring 2011, Sturmwind will cost €34.95 and most likely be packaged up in a rather snazzy edition similar to RSG's previous releases.

Their newly added product page lists some interesting features of the new game such as 16 Levels, over 20 bosses, a hybrid 2d/3d game engine, PAL 60hz support, online hiscore support, achievements/trophies and unlockable content. A rather impressive list of things to come to our much loved expired Sega console.

The game was also recently demoed on Neues, a German Technology TV show with a small snippet of gameplay footage around the 2:40 mark in this video:

The game can now be pre-ordered on their website from the link below.
