"Project X Zone" Brings Sega, Capcom and Namco Together on the 3DS.

projectxzone4What do Mega Man X, Ulala and Kos-Mos have in common? They're all going to be in a new Nintendo 3DS game that's just been announced as a joint project between Capcom, Sega and Namco.

Seeing big time crossovers in video games is nothing new. However, this new title is getting bigger and better the more we hear about it. Famitsu has posted a ton of pictures showing the game off, and it appears to be a strategy based-RPG. Famitsu is also reporting the game is half completed and will be released in Japan later in the year. No reports have surfaced as to whether it will be released in Europe, North America, or any other continents.

List of characters confirmed to date, and their games they normally star in:

  • Ryu & Ken (Street Fighter)
  • Pai and Akira (Virtua Fighter)
  • X and Zero (Mega Man)
  • Demitri and Dante (Darkstalkers, Devil May Cry)
  • Kaito and Black Rose (.hack)
  • Chris and Jill (Resident Evil)
  • Shinguji Sakura and Ogami Ichiro (Sakura Wars)
