Project Needlemouse is... Sonic the Hedgehog 4!

Sega's long awaited project has finally been revealed. The mysterious Project Needlemouse incredibly turns out to be the long awaited, Sonic 4. RetroCollect has the latest teaser video ready to view. The anticipation is building and the retro gamers are excited, the teaser looks good...

But will it be another repeat of the Sonic Cycle?

Having last seen the official 2D sonic game in the series over 15 years ago, Sega has really upped the ante and put the Sonic name on the line. After many years of disapointing games, sequels and countless characters with unloveable voice overs, this is the last chance they have to make use of the blue hedgehog brand

Many will say that Sega often releases promises like this, only to ruin them shortly after. However this time round, there is so much promise that we are all putting our faith in them once and for all to deliver the experience we have all been craving for the last decade.

Note to Sega, Sonic is too fast to work in 3D. Stick to what you know and do it well!
